Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is exosome therapy for hair loss?

Exosome therapy is an advanced regenerative treatment designed to support scalp health and encourage healthier hair growth. Exosomes are tiny messenger particles that contain proteins, growth factors and signalling molecules which help cells communicate and support the body's natural repair processes. When applied alongside microneedling, they may help create a healthier environment for weakened hair follicles.

2. How is exosome therapy different from PRP?While both treatments aim to stimulate healthier hair growth, they work differently. PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) uses your own blood to concentrate platelets and natural growth factors before injecting them into the scalp. Exosome therapy uses specially formulated regenerative signalling molecules that are applied to the scalp, usually in combination with microneedling. During your consultation, we'll recommend the treatment most appropriate for your hair loss.

3. Who is a good candidate for exosome hair treatment? Exosome therapy may be suitable for both men and women experiencing early hair thinning, Male or female pattern hair loss, Diffuse hair loss, Hair shedding, Reduced hair density, Hair transplant recovery and clients looking to support other regenerative treatments. The best way to determine suitability is through a comprehensive hair loss consultation and scalp analysis.

4. Does exosome therapy regrow hair?

Exosome therapy aims to support healthier follicle function and improve the scalp environment. Some clients notice reduced shedding, thicker-looking hair and improved density over time. However, results vary depending on the underlying cause of hair loss, the health of the follicles and the stage of hair loss. No treatment can guarantee hair regrowth for every individual.

5. How many exosome treatments will I need?

The number of treatments depends on your individual hair loss diagnosis and treatment goals. Some clients benefit from a single treatment, while others achieve better results with a series of sessions or by combining exosomes with therapies such as PRP, PRF or Growth Factor Concentrate (GFC). Your personalised treatment plan will be discussed during your consultation.

6. Is exosome therapy painful?

Most clients find the treatment very tolerable. Before treatment, a topical numbing cream is applied to improve comfort. Microneedling may cause a mild prickling sensation, but most people are able to return to normal activities shortly afterwards.

7. How long does it take to see results?

Hair growth is gradual, and improvements typically take several months. Many clients notice reduced shedding within the first few months, with improvements in hair thickness and density developing over three to six months or longer. Individual results vary depending on the cause and severity of hair loss.

8. Can exosome therapy be combined with other hair loss treatments?Yes. Exosome therapy is often used alongside other evidence-based treatments such as PRP, PRF, Growth Factor Concentrate (GFC), Regenera Activa®, medical therapies and personalised home hair care. Combining treatments may provide a more comprehensive approach for suitable candidates.

9. Are there any side effects? Most side effects are mild and temporary. Some clients experience redness, tenderness or slight sensitivity of the scalp for 24 to 48 hours after treatment. Your clinician will provide detailed aftercare instructions and discuss any potential risks before your procedure.

Your Own Natural Human Exosomes

Regenera Activa® is an advanced autologous regenerative treatment that uses a small sample of your own healthy scalp tissue to support hair restoration.

This tissue naturally contains living cells, growth factors, extracellular matrix proteins and your own naturally occurring human exosomes. During the procedure, these regenerative components are processed into a micrograft suspension and immediately reintroduced into areas affected by hair thinning.

By harnessing your body's own regenerative biology, Regenera Activa® helps support follicle health, improve the scalp environment and encourage the body's natural repair and regeneration processes.

How treatment works_edited.jpg

1. Consultation

Meet with one of our hair restoration specialists for a comprehensive assessment of your hair loss, scalp health and treatment goals.

2. Digital Scalp Analysis

Advanced microscopic scalp analysis identifies the underlying cause of your hair loss and helps determine whether exosome therapy is the right treatment for you.

3. Prepare the Scalp

Your scalp is gently cleansed and prepared before treatment to optimise the delivery of regenerative exosome therapy.

4. Microneedling

Medical-grade microneedling creates thousands of tiny microchannels to stimulate the scalp's natural healing response and enhance exosome absorption.

5. Apply Exosomes

The selected exosome treatment is applied immediately after microneedling, allowing the regenerative ingredients to penetrate deep into the scalp where they can support follicle health.

6. Hair Growth & Follow-Up

Hair growth is monitored over the following months with ongoing reviews and personalised recommendations to maximise your results.
