PRP-PRF-GFC Treatments

IN-CLINIC PLATELET TREATMENTS
Hair Again Clinic have been offering the latest advances in Regenerative Hair Growth PRF and GFC treatments since 2023 in our Clinic.
All Platelet treatments (PRP,PRF and GFC) involve taking a small quantity of blood from a patient, separating out the growth factors and bioactive proteins in the blood (which initiate and speed up tissue repair and regeneration) and injecting this platelet rich plasma into the scalp, to encourage hair growth. Some patients can benefit from these treatments for hair loss particularly for androgenetic alopecia for men or women.
What is involved in these options for hair loss?A small quantity of the patients own blood is collected and then spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich-plasma from the red blood cells. We utilize a unique separator gel which keeps the red cells separated. The plasma is then injected in a grid pattern into the scalp. Treatment takes around one hour. A course of treatment involves 4 to 6 sessions of PRP with one set of injections each month, over a few months. Ongoing maintenance treatment every six to twelve months is recommended.
The treatment increases hair density and reduces hair loss to normal levels. The growth factors in the Plasma stimulate hair follicles, encouraging them to enter the growth phase and produce thicker, healthier hair and can also improve blood circulation to the scalp, which can further support hair growth. These treatments can be combined with other hair loss treatments including topical or oral minoxidil, oral finasteride, hair transplants, and supplementation.
